March 2017 : Page 1

Saga Magazine March 01, 2017 00:00

In this issue of Saga Magazine : The March issue of Saga Magazine is sure to put a spring in your step even if it is still a bit chilly outside. You can practically feel the warmth in our feature to celebrate Mother’s Day, in which well-known names and readers alike share their Mum’s wise (and occasionally barmy!) words of advice that have stayed with them to this day. And we could probably power the national grid if we could harness the energy of our cover star Griff Rhys Jones. As well as having fun – being back on the West End stage, yacht racing, running or travelling to exotic destinations – he is also passionate about how we can improve the look and feel of our local communities.

We revisit some brave souls first encountered ten years ago, when they were setting up their own community in a shared-housing scheme in Dorset. Has it worked out? If you’ve ever fantasised about spending your retirement surrounded by like-minded friends, you won’t want to miss this!

Should you have fallen out with any of your nearest and dearest, however, we have advice on building bridges and starting afresh in our seven-point plan to resolve any arguments.

All this, plus our regular pages of invaluable money advice from Paul Lewis and Annie Shaw, health problems diagnosed by Dr Mark Porter, relationship dilemmas addressed by Jo Brand, £100 prize crosswords and a last laugh with Bill Bailey. Happy reading!
