In this issue of Saga Magazine : It’s spring (well, nearly), when adventurous types start dreaming of buying a Harley and hitting the highway. And these days biking is so much more comfortable, writes Jeremy Taylor, with heated oversuits and helmets with built-in intercoms.
Garden lovers, meanwhile, will be thinking about venturing outdoors and getting their hands dirty. We have a special plea to make: please consider the bees when choosing new plants. Read our feature on bee-friendly flowers and use our handy guide to identify the bees in your garden.
Our cover star this month is the very well-turned-out Stanley Johnson, who spills the beans on what it’s like to be the PM’s dad and why he never turns down reality TV shows such as I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! even though he’s a few months short of his 80th birthday.
Equally stylish are our fashion models Frances and her daughter Tinika, who look absolutely fabulous in this season’s trench coats. Frances, 87, only began modelling five years ago, which just goes to prove it’s never too late to take up a new career. Film director Stephen Brown would agree – at 62, he’s well on the way to becoming a qualified psychotherapist.
We hope you enjoy our mix of inspirational peoples’ stories, healthy – and delicious – recipes, sound financial information and much, much more.
